The 9th Annual UCHMC Research Symposium will include discussions regarding opportunities for collaboration across the UC system, application of novel therapies in hematologic malignancies and ongoing clinical trials currently being conducted by the UC Hematologic Malignancies Consortium.

The research symposium will provide attendees with information regarding current research in the field and application of novel therapies allowing those in attendance to better serve their patient population.

The objectives of this meeting are to gain an understanding of how basic research discoveries are being translated into clinical trials, gain a better understanding of best practice in the management of hematologic malignancies and to become familiar with targeted and immunotherapeutic approaches for the treatment of hematologic malignancies.

Thursday October 10, 2024 (No CME): Disease team meetings will be held during the day for members of the academic community. At 4:00pm, a UCHMC Disease team wide meeting will be held for industry participants in conjunction with a networking reception.

Objectives

  1. Translate how new drug discoveries in the lab can be applied in clinical trials.
  2. Design multi-center investigator initiated clinical trials based on presentations on UCHMC trials.
  3. Identify the role of clinical trials in daily practice.
  4. Discuss current developments in clinical care of patients with hematologic malignancies.

The University of California San Diego School of Medicine designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 6.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

AAPA: AAPA accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society.
