Overview

The course will offer a blend of didactic and interactive experiences highlighting state-of-the-art head and neck cancer care from evaluation and treatment to survivorship. Renowned faculty members from UC San Diego, UC San Francisco and nationally recognized invited speakers will share the most up-to-date information regarding scientific advancements and novel approaches to optimize both curative and functional outcomes in the head and neck cancer population.


Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Implement best practice in the complex, multidisciplinary delivery of care for head and neck cancer patients
  2. Discuss updates in the management of oral cavity, oropharynx, and larynx cancer
  3. Describe how pathology and radiology findings can be used to guide the diagnosis and management of head and neck, thyroid, and salivary cancers.
  4. Evaluate the goals and techniques of head and neck reconstruction with a focus on functional outcomes
  5. Incorporate novel innovations in diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in patient care
  6. Determine appropriate evaluations for dysphagia, voice, communication and trismus for patient with head and neck cancer
  7. Identify swallowing therapy techniques appropriate to optimize swallowing/voice outcomes for patients with head and neck cancer
  8. Explain the necessity of instrumental swallowing assessment in patients with head and neck cancer.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

UC San Diego Continuing Professional Development reserves the right to deny any application that does not meet this requirement. UC San Diego CPD will acknowledge exhibitor(s) support in course materials as permissible by the ACCME.

The exhibitor acknowledges that conducting marketing or promotional activities in any conference area except for their assigned exhibit space is prohibited. Commercial interests may not engage in sales, promotional activities, or distribute product-specific advertisements while in the designated location of the CPD activity. CPD activity space includes, but is not limited to, lecture halls, break out rooms, and laboratory areas.

UC San Diego Continuing Professional Development Exhibitor Policy

Exhibitors and UC San Diego Continuing Professional Development agree to abide by the ACCME Standard for Integrity and Independence in Accredited CE and the UC Health Care Vendor Relations Policy. Any actions that are not in accordance with the above stated policies may result in the removal of the exhibit company and its representatives from the conference site, in which case no refund of exhibit fees will be allowed.

Payment Deadline & Late Fee Policy
Exhibitor payment is due in full by the deadline listed on program materials (webpage and exhibitor agreement form). A 
$500 late fee will apply to any payments received after the posted deadline.

To avoid a late fee and ensure participation, 
proof of payment (such as a check copy, electronic payment confirmation, or remittance advice) must be submitted by the deadline.
Please note that exhibit placement and promotional benefits are not guaranteed until full payment and proof of payment are received.


CANCELLATION POLICY: There are no refunds for cancellations of exhibit registrations.

Payment must be received prior to the event. Preferred method of payment is credit card.

For payments made via ACH or bank transfer, please coordinate with Marinel Brual at [email protected] to initiate the transaction.

Kindly provide a copy of your transfer details along with the processing date so we can accurately track and confirm your payment.
