Overview

The 2nd Annual Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Symposium is a live, in-person educational conference designed to support APPs across specialties through high-yield clinical updates, multidisciplinary collaboration, and emerging best practices in patient care.

Building on the success of last year’s program, this symposium focuses on practical, multidisciplinary approaches to managing complex patients in everyday APP practice. Sessions will include focused updates in psychiatric care, cancer screening and survivorship, solid organ transplantation, and interventional radiology, alongside a keynote presentation and interactive poster presentations.

This course is designed for APPs practicing in a variety of clinical settings and specialties. Through expert-led sessions and case-based discussions, participants will gain practical tools to enhance clinical decision-making, improve patient outcomes, and strengthen collaborative care models. The program also highlights the evolving role of APPs in managing increasingly complex patient populations while advancing evidence-based practice.

Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Integrate evidence-based psychiatric care strategies into clinical practice by applying current approaches to screening, diagnosis, and management of common mental health conditions in diverse patient populations.
  2. Evaluate current cancer screening guidelines and survivorship care strategies by identifying risk-based screening approaches for pancreatic, colorectal, breast, and lung cancers and incorporating them into patient-centered care plans.
  3. Describe the multidisciplinary care continuum in solid organ transplantation by outlining pre-transplant evaluation, post-transplant management, and the role of APPs in optimizing patient outcomes across organ systems.
  4. Apply best practices in post-transplant medication monitoring by recognizing common complications, medication-related adverse effects, and strategies for long-term management in transplant recipients.
  5. Assess the role of interventional radiology in modern patient care by identifying common procedures, indications, and appropriate referral pathways for APPs.
  6. Apply knowledge gained through interdisciplinary collaboration to optimize clinical decision-making in complex patient care scenarios.
  7. Translate emerging clinical updates into practice by developing at least two actionable strategies to improve care delivery and patient outcomes within their respective clinical settings.
