Overview
This course is designed to provide the learner with the most up to date evidence for ICD and CRT based therapy. It provides a State of the Art review of ICD and CRT management, as well as, an in-depth review of implantation techniques, programming complications and follow-up aspects.

Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Discuss the indications for ICD and CRT Implants with review of the 2022 guidelines
  2. Describe all aspects of ICD testing and programming including troubleshooting
  3. Review device implant techniques
  4. Manage device implant and extraction complications

Cancellation Policy
A refund will be allowed, minus a $25 cancellation fee, if requested in writing by April 14, 2023. No refunds will be given after that date and for no-shows. In the unlikely event that the course is cancelled, UC San Diego Continuing Medical Education is responsible only for a full refund of the registration fee and not for transportation, hotel accommodations or any miscellaneous expenses.

The University of California San Diego School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The University of California San Diego School of Medicine designates this Live Activity activity for a maximum of 7.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Psychologists: The California Board of Psychology recognizes and accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ for license renewal. Psychologists outside of California should check with their state and local boards to ensure that ACCME accredited activities are acceptable for renewal.
