Overview
HIV & Global Health (HIGH) Rounds is an essential forum for educating and disseminating the latest in infectious diseases and global public health research to San Diego care providers (UCSD faculty as well as community-based primary care providers). HIGH Rounds provides state-of-the-art research and clinical guidelines essential to the practice of HIV and other infectious diseases care. Based on expert faculty opinion we hope to address the following practice gaps: 1. Expand knowledge on the pathogenesis and treatment of HIV and other infectious diseases (Knowledge); 2. Present HIV, infectious diseases, and public health providers with new strategies to address complex cases and manage complicated treatment plans (Competence); 3. Improve problem-solving and understanding of complex issue s related to HIV and global public health (Performance); We will invite and host speakers from renowned institutions across the country, prominent local and regional community leaders engaged in HIV and public healthcare, and prolific faculty members from the Divisions of Infectious Diseases and Global Public Health. HIGH Rounds is widely attended by HIV-treating physicians and health care providers including nurses, pharmacists, and social workers in San Diego and surrounding communities.

Psychologists: The California Board of Psychology recognizes and accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ for license renewal. Psychologists outside of California should check with their state and local boards to ensure that ACCME accredited activities are acceptable for renewal.
