Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Describe the affordances provided by use of artificial intelligence across use cases in teaching, as well as associated limitations and risks.
  2. Explain the difference between AI tools and AI agents, as well as the implications for the difference in teaching.
  3. Apply a design and engineering mindset to identify or build high quality AI teaching solutions.

The University of California San Diego School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
