Artificial Intelligence in Nephrology Conference

The Artificial Intelligence in Nephrology Conference is a two-day educational event designed to explore the transformative role of AI in kidney care. The program will feature keynote addresses, expert-led sessions, and interactive discussions on AI applications in chronic kidney disease (CKD), acute kidney injury (AKI), dialysis, transplant nephrology, nephropathology and precision medicine.

The conference spans two days and includes keynote presentations, thematic sessions, poster presentations, and networking opportunities. Topics range from foundational AI concepts to advanced applications in nephrology, with a focus on clinical relevance and translational potential.

This Symposium is a collaboration of the University of California San Diego School of Medicine, the UAB-UCSD O'Brien Center for Acute Kidney Injury Research, the Divisions of Nephrology at UAB, the Division of Data Driven and Digital Medicine (D3M) at Mt. Sinai Healthcare System, and the UAB Nephrology Research and Training Center.

1. Describe current and emerging AI applications in nephrology.
2. Identify ethical and regulatory considerations in AI deployment.
3. Evaluate AI tools for CKD/AKI detection and dialysis management.
4. Discuss the role of AI in transplant nephrology and precision medicine.
5. Describe real-world strategies for implementing artificial intelligence (AI) in clinical settings to improve patient care and workflow efficiency.

The University of California San Diego School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM): Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 10.25 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

The exhibitor acknowledges that conducting marketing or promotional activities in any conference area except for their assigned exhibit space is prohibited. Commercial interests may not engage in sales, promotional activities, or distribute product-specific advertisements while in the designated location of the CPD activity. Payment Deadline & Late Fee Policy
Exhibitor payment is due in full by the deadline listed on program materials (webpage and exhibitor agreement form). A $500 late fee will apply to any payments received after the posted deadline.

To avoid a late fee and ensure participation, proof of payment (such as a check copy, electronic payment confirmation, or remittance advice) must be submitted by the deadline.
Please note that exhibit placement and promotional benefits are not guaranteed until full payment and proof of payment are received.
