Overview

the 35th Annual Physician-Computer Connection Symposium, held as part of the AMDIS Annual Meeting, is a four-hour, live, in-person educational activity taking place in Ojai, California on June 16, 2026. This focused session is designed to provide physicians and clinical informatics leaders with practical, up-to-date education on emerging technologies shaping healthcare delivery, including artificial intelligence (AI), learning science, cloud architecture, and cybersecurity. Through expert-led presentations and interactive discussion, participants will explore real-world applications of these technologies in clinical workflows and leadership decision-making. Despite widespread adoption of digital health tools, many physicians and clinical leaders face gaps in understanding how to effectively and safely integrate these technologies into practice. This session is designed to improve physician competence and performance by addressing key areas such as AI fundamentals and limitations, cloud-based infrastructure, and cybersecurity risks. Learners will leave better equipped to evaluate and apply emerging technologies, strengthen data-driven and secure systems within their organizations, and support improved patient care through more effective and informed use of digital health solutions.
