Overview

The California Heart Rhythm Symposium aims to bring together leaders in the field of cardiac electrophysiology (EP) and provide a forum for presentation and discussion of the latest advances in this medical subspecialty. The meeting will highlight basic and clinical mechanisms of cardiac arrhythmias, standard methods for their evaluation and treatment, and new advances in their treatment. The conference will target clinical and basic cardiac researchers in the field of cardiac electrophysiology, clinical electrophysiologists (both academic and private), and nurses, technicians, and allied industry professionals working in the EP clinic and/or EP laboratory.


Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Recognize the latest understanding of the mechanisms underlying various cardiac arrhythmias
  2. Describe current standard methods for evaluation and treatment of various cardiac arrhythmias and their rationale
  3. Demonstrate awareness of new treatment approaches that they can expect to be applied in the near future for treatment of various cardiac arrhythmias

We encourage all conference attendees to submit an abstract describing their own research. If your abstract is accepted, you will be expected to present your abstract(s) as a poster at the conference.

Abstract Format
List all institutional affiliations beside each author's name. Leave a blank line between paragraphs. Abstracts should be single-spaced and left justified. Abstracts should not exceed 300 words.

Presenting authors should be present, Saturday, September 9th at 5:00pm, while posters are displayed for questions and answers (approximately one hour).

Pharmacists: The California Board of Pharmacy accepts as continuing education for pharmacists coursework which meets the standard of relevance to pharmacy practice and is accepted as continuing education by the Medical Board of California.

Psychologists: The California Board of Psychology recognizes and accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ for license renewal. Psychologists outside of California should check with their state and local boards to ensure that ACCME accredited activities are acceptable for renewal.

Cancellation Policy: The full course tuition is refundable, less $75 if your cancellation is received in writing no later than August 25, 2023. No refunds will be allowed after this date.
