Overview
The 3rd annual Delivering Discoveries: Updates in Oncology is a live meeting scheduled for October 17-18, 2024 at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines in La Jolla, CA. The diagnosis and management of cancer patients is increasingly complex and requires multidisciplinary management. This 1.5-day event will address all aspects of cancer, from basic science research and advances in clinical care to community-based approaches that optimize prevention and interception. We have assembled a multidisciplinary group of internationally renowned faculty from UC San Diego, San Diego State University, and other institutions to systematically present the latest in cancer research with the goal of iteratively addressing and identifying gaps in knowledge that present a barrier to optimizing outcomes for patients with cancer.

Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Identify the needs of San Diego and Imperial county in terms of comprehensive cancer care
  2. Recognize clinical trial opportunities for cancer patients
  3. Integrate social media into the care of the cancer community
  4. Collaborate with data science experts to better understand cancer
  5. Determine best approaches to Cancer Prevention and Interception
  6. Examine recent advances in the cancer research related to direct patient care and the broader cancer community, as well as basic and translational science advances in oncology

Cancellation Policy: The full course tuition is refundable, less $50 if your cancellation is received in writing on or before September 30, 2024.
No refunds will be allowed after this date.
